BURGERSFORT – Most cemeteries in Tubatse are without toilets. This is a concern as mourners have no place to relieve themselves during funerals. After realising the suffering endured by mourners when burying their loved ones the EFF in Tubatse donated two toilets to Taung Cemetery on October 15.

In providing these facilities, the party partnered with the taxi owners in Taung, who were led by Rapson Mogofe.

Speaking to Steelburger/ Lydenburg News EFF councillor at Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) Gerry Mnisi said there were never toilets at the cemetery.

“The municipality couldn’t assist the communities as they invested the service delivery money with the VBS bank. We took our hard earned cash to help our communities,” Mnisi said.

He reiterated that his party cares about the needs and health of the people.
