BREAKING: Anti-Racism protest to continue tomorrow

LYDENBURG – On Thursday evening members of the EFF and an apparent Anti-Racism group marched through town.

This follows after a row between Senty Nkambule and neighbouring farm owners in the Potloodspruit area.

Farm owners residing in the area has turned to Lydenburg court on account of a tavern that was erected by Nkambule for apparently failing to follow proper procedures.

Despite members claiming to be marching against racism, protestors could be heard shouting: “Kill the farmer, kill the boer!”

The court case will be heard tomorrow. The newspaper was informed that heavy policing will be at Lydenburg Magistrate’s Court.

Members of community are hereby informed that the municipality together with SAPS had a Section 4 Meeting with the Mashishing Black Contractors Foundation and permission was granded for them to demostrate to both the Magistrate Court and the municipality tomorrow morning.

The following streets will be partly closed: Voortrekker next to the court, De Clerk from Engen to Voortrekker, Trucks will not be allowed to use Potgieter and De Clerk Street. The streets will be closed from 06H30 until 12H00 mid-day.
