Soccer lovers from all corners of Tubatse descended on Mabocha Village for the annual Pee 85 Heritage soccer tournament. The tourney took place from September 23 to 25. It involved teams from Mabocha, Penge, Ga-Motodi, Manoke and Praktiseer. The final pitted Cameroon United and Ga-Motodi’s Uruguay. After a tough 90 minutes resulting in a 0-0 draw, the game proceeded to the dreaded penalties. Cameroon converted all their spot kicks to clinch the trophy. The final result was 5-4. The tournament’s organiser, Prince Maluleka congratulated the teams. “After hosting the tournament in 2016 and this year, I can officially say it will be an annual event. This is a good platform for the youth to engage in sporting activities.”

The winning team took home brand-new soccer kits, a trophy and medals.
