With the recent opening of the all-new Boxer Store, Ackermans, Rage, Hollard, Lambino, More Gifts and Clothing in Steelpoort, community members can rest assured knowing that the developments in town are slowly but surely nearing completion.Steelburger/Lydenburg News recently caught up with the management of Goldbroz Investment, to update residents on the rejuvenation currently happening in town. Ansie Viljoen said stores such as Cashbuild and North Safety are among the stores lined up to open before the end of the year. “We will be opening Cashbuild on October 1, and other shops will follow soon.”The developments in Steelpoort will not only see improvements to the town, but it will also benefit locals. Over 270 people have been employed by the opening of the new stores, following the recent renovations. Also, there are people who are hired by companies involved with the revamping.Entrepreneurs have also benefited immensely as business opportunities have been created.

“The development has also seen several youths acquiring skills in paving, installation of pipelines, and other trades,” said Viljoen.The director of Goldbroz Investment, Nicholas Shapley, said they aspire to develop the town in an efficient manner.”We will be upgrading the centre with the aim of allowing people to stop by and shop around. The town will be more accessible and convenient.”On July 21, Steelpoort will see another fast-food restaurant, Wimpy, being opened.
