Possible snow for Dullstroom and Roossenekal pass

LYDENBURG – It is going to be an icy-cold weekend with expected possible snowfall in certain areas of the country.
According to the SA Weather Services, icy temperatures can be expected in the Eastern Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and Lesotho.
The Eastern Highveld in Mpumalanga will also see a significant drop in temperatures.
Snow is expected in the Drakensberg area, as well as in the highlands in Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape (specifically at Barkley East), Dullstroom and the Roossenekal Pass.
Lydenburg can also expect chilly weather as sunny skies this morning will give way to showers and a possible thunderstorm during the afternoon. An 80 percent chance of rain is expected for today.
Tonight’s weather also indicates possible showers and thundershowers. The weather remains mainly cloudy after midnight with possible light rain.
On Saturday there will be an 80 percent chance of rainfall and on Sunday rain showers can be expected early with some sunshine later in the day.
