Description: The Bushbuckridge (`BBR`) Local Municipality is in the process of improving the water supply infrastructure in the area to provide the Belfast Village with sufficient water of an acceptable potable quality. This ultimately involves the construction of a bulk supply pipeline and a water treatment works to treat water abstracted from the Sabie River. The project involves the construction of a water abstraction pump station; water treatment plant platform; raw water pump station; bulk pump line from the treatment works to the Belfast reservoir; access road from the R536 tar road; and fencing of the treatment plant area. The treatment plant area is situated adjacent to the Kruger National Park (`KNP`), approximately 50 m north- east of its boundary on state- owned land. The abstraction pump station is situated within the boundary of the KNP on the banks of the Sabie River.
