Highlanders are pitted against one another at in-house athletics

BURGERSFORT – Highlands College recently held its in-house athletics where pupils were divided into four teams. Phoenix wore yellow, Wyvern wore green, Highlands wore red and athletes from Frost wore blue. During the event athletes had the chance to compete in long jump and shot put, as well as 50- and 100-metre races.

By the end of the day the Frost team won the in-house trophy. Ms Fatima Mahomed, Highlands College owner said all the teachers worked very hard to ensure that the day was successful. “I would like to show my appreciation towards all the teachers and personnel for their dedication and hard work towards the school and its learners.” Highlands College wishes the learners and their parents a festive Easter celebration during the school holiday.
